Vision

I have the honor of leading the Israel Ballroom Dancing Fund (IBDF), which aims to position competitive ballroom dancing as a leading and valued sport in Israel and make it part of the local culture.

The IBDF model, offers a program of scholarships that is unique not only in Israel, but also worldwide–enabling Israel’s best young dancers to attain world-class training. The platform provided by the Fund offers talented dance couples the opportunity to study alongside other outstanding dancers and to learn from top international instructors in this field.

IBDF is committed to raising the necessary funds to ensure that the dancers, for whom this distinctive program was developed, will be able to realize their potential and fulfill their dreams of becoming professional ballroom dancers.

The Fund was established in 2011 and results can already be seen in the dancers’ achievements in Israel and abroad. These are not merely individual achievements by one or two couples, but consistent overall progress by all the dancers on IBDF team. Their teachers and coaches themselves, also receive professional enrichment classes sponsored by the Fund.

At IBDF we believe that nurturing this special combination of art, sport, culture and beauty is imperative in order help this field reach the positioning which it deserves, and allow it to enrich the local culture. We are certain that during the coming years we will see significant accomplishments in this sport, both locally and abroad. We plan to continue expanding our activities and would welcome having you among our supporters.

With warm respect and best wishes of luck,

Ella Bar-gil , IBDF CEO.
